The Rise of Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are continuing to grow in popularity.
That’s right, just when you thought they may have hit their peak (after all, once Kim does it, how much up is there left to climb?) a TMR market research report claims that for the near future the market will only get bigger and bigger.
What facilitates the growth of the market
So why are fillers getting more and more popular? First is shifting consumer perceptions about cosmetic treatment in general. For one, it’s becoming less stigmatized for men to pursue cosmetic treatment, and those new to cosmetic treatment will tend to start with minimally invasive treatments.
That of course matches with the fact that minimally invasive treatments match busy lifestyles–busy lifestyles that lead to the life imbalances that cause dermatological imbalances in the first place.
A great deal of growth in the market seems to be coming from the Asia Pacific Region, possibly due to rising disposable incomes. But the report assesses that there will continue to be growth in North America as well.
Fillers as the perfect first treatment
All this adds to the fact that fillers are an excellent first choice for cosmetic treatment. They’re as adaptable and flexible as Botox, with perhaps even less marketing stigma and baggage (as anyone who’s ever been worried about frozen face might know).
Meanwhile, social media has somewhat normalized their usage, particularly lip filler.
All this points to the fact that fillers are a product that could benefit mostly anyone willing to give them a shot, and they’re also a product that poses significantly less risk than other cosmetic treatments.
Interested in cosmetic treatment but don’t know where to start? There’s a good chance that some sort of dermal filler will be able to meet your aesthetic goals, but it’s important to do your research.
